Do you live close to or visit, one of the 196 Important Bird Areas of Greece (IBAs)? Do you care about this IBA and want to contribute to its conservation? Then here is your chance to get involved in the Important Bird Area Caretaker Network (IBA Caretakers)!
Every autumn, the IBA Caretaker Network expands in new IBAs and seeks for new volunteers who would be interested to participate in the conservation and monitoring of IBAs.
If this sounds interesting, please fill in the participation form by the end of September!

Volunteers monitor the condition of IBAs, following methods developed by BirdLife International for the reliable collection of data, and undertake actions in cooperation with HOS when threats are recorded. HOS trains on an annual basis, those wishing to participate in the network through specialized seminars, so that committed groups of IBA Caretakers are formed all over Greece.
Three simple steps to start off your action in the IBA Caretaker Network:

1. Find out if the area you are interested is an IBA
2. Find out more about the IBA Caretaker Network
3. Fill in the application form until the end of September
